This sweet woman even spoke some English and had something to do with local theater, I think. Most people in Cairo are quite moderate and progressive.

 

Someone was getting on or off, and I took a quick shot of the Nile. I seem to recall that the part on the right is an island in the river.

 

I think it may be one of the problems with their young men, as boys they can do pretty much what they want and always get their way

Looking out of the window of the guesthouse, Hotel Luna, was a past-time for me and others.

 

Cairo gets usually busy after dark, when it is a little cooler. There is a mall right acrcoss from Hotel Luna, which occupies two floors in an old colonial style building.
